Q.01-Hello, former director, please introduce yourself briefly.
I got in touch with bird watching from high school. I have been interested in ecology since I was a child, so I joined the bird watching club in high school, so I came into contact with Changhua Bird Club. Since then, he has been a volunteer for the Bird Society, assisting in the interpretation, investigation, and speech of the Bird Society; was elected as the chairman of the Changhua Bird Society in the Republic of China in 101; after resigning in 104, he was elected as the chairman of the Wild Bird Society of the Republic of China , Is now an executive director, and is still working hard for Taiwan's ecology and wild birds.
Q.02-What is the biggest problem currently encountered in Taiwan's bird ecology?
After Taiwan's economic take-off, various development pressures, including the development of industrial areas or major national constructions, will erode bird habitats. Although environmental awareness has risen in recent years and large-scale development projects have decreased, the continuous promotion of green energy, including solar power and wind power, has become a threat to bird habitats.

Q.03-Where are the more difficult areas in the process of promoting the concept of protecting the natural ecological environment and conserving wild birds?
At present, I think the biggest problem I encounter now is that "it is difficult to arouse people's concern." Although there are more people who care about the environment now than before, the overall proportion is still low. It feels that the environment of wild animals is not important to them.
"But didn't the issue of Shihu in Miaoli a while ago arouse everyone's awareness of environmental conservation?"
But the proportion of sorting is still quite small..., people in countries that are usually willing to be environmental protection and conservation, have already lived a relatively rich living environment, and are more able to care about other environmental affairs.
Q04-Please briefly introduce your bird survey equipment.
Of course, the most important thing for bird surveys is the telescope. We will have high-magnification monoculars and binoculars for seaside surveys, as well as a counter and record table. The above are commonly used equipment. In addition, GPS positioning is sometimes prepared. If the survey is divided into two groups, it is more convenient to carry an intercom.

Q05-What is interesting about bird tune? Where is the hard work?
For a person who is new to bird watching, bird surveys are very interesting, because he has the opportunity to see many different birds in a short period of time; but for a commissioner who has been investigating for a long time, they usually see comparisons. Familiar species, if you see rare species in it, the excitement and joy I think is the most interesting part of the bird tune.
The hard part is that whether in the cold sea breeze in winter or the unbearable sun in summer, the investigation must be completed in accordance with the time, and an investigation takes at least half a day, which means that these times must be faced with wind and sun. Sunshine is a harder place.
"Then you will continue to conduct investigations when it rains?"
If it is light rain, we will continue the investigation, but if the rain is really heavy and visibility is poor, we will suspend the investigation.
In the past, we were more accustomed to using telescope holsters and carrying them in a backpack. We had to be careful when using them. After all, these holsters were not very protective.
