Associate Professor, Institute of Geosciences, Chinese Culture University
Q.01-Hello Associate Professor, let's introduce yourself briefly.
From the agricultural meteorological research where the assistant researcher was hired by the Agricultural Laboratory to the teaching of the Department of Geography in the Faculty of Science of the Chinese Culture University, they are all closely related to the natural environment. Maybe it can't change the rhythm of any general environment, but continue to pursue respect for nature and humblely learn to coexist with nature.
Q.02-Please introduce your work content.
In terms of teaching, it mainly teaches courses in the field of natural geography, such as climatology, environmental hydrology, soil science, etc.; in terms of research, continuous agrometeorological observations and evaluations, and due to the geographical location, also involved in the research and discussion of slope collapse . Participate in the conservation and trail maintenance volunteers of Yangmingshan National Park in leisure time.
Q.03-What is the current status of soil and hydrology in Yangmingshan National Park?
Volcanic geology is the biggest feature of Yangmingshan National Park. The last eruption of the volcano 60 million years ago, coupled with long-term climate shocks and biological activities and succession, created today’s special volcanic soil, some suitable for farming. Some are relatively lean; and the radial water system produced by the volcanic terrain and the special water quality of hot springs or cold springs moisturize all corners of the park, which are extremely important factors for the distribution of plants or the development of settlements. .
Therefore, any behavior that may cause damage to the natural environment, such as feeding wild animals, stealing plants, dumping waste, and even abandoning pets in the mountains, should be prohibited. Let us cherish and cherish this hard-won natural treasure.
Q.04-Where is the hard part of teaching? Where is the interesting place?
The degree of difficulty of the courses easily makes students fearful, but improving teaching methods is the key to affecting students' willingness to learn. Therefore, on-site inspections and internships are often used to integrate relevant learning content to stimulate students' motivation to learn actively. The Suanzui Mountain Ecological Reserve and Lujiaokeng Ecological Reserve can provide students with a learning field that is confirmed by the course. During the inspection process, it is very interesting to take students to challenge the ever-changing environment and their own unlimited potential. thing!

▲ A set of wooden tools for pottery making.
▲ Pigments.
Q05-Please briefly introduce your commonly used survey instruments.
Most soil and water are not suitable for sampling and taking away, so use hand-held instruments that can be directly measured on-site, such as pH meters (ISFET pH electrodes) and flow meters.
Q07-Finally, please describe Vidafun in a few simple sentences.
It is strong and waterproof, and it is convenient to plan the internal space by yourself. It is the best helper for field investigation!
